And You Thought Your High School Field Trip to the Grand Canyon Was Safe . . .

Why should young children have all the fun learning facts from fun-reading books. Why can't young adults have the same fun? Why should they be stuck reading dry non-fiction? It's no wonder they're attracted to novels about witches, warlocks, vampires, werewolves and immortals. The problem is, they don't LEARN ANYTHING. My award-winning novel, "The Azurite Encounter," makes learning facts fun for the young adult reader. Geology, Meteorology, Herbal and Wilderness Medicine, Arizona History and Folklore are just a few topics wrapped around this high school Grand Canyon field trip gone bad. Early Spring rains cause the canyons to flood, and the students team up to battle the seen and unforeseen forces hidden in the canyon's bowels.
