Gayle Martin is the author of 'Gunfight at the O.K. Corral Luke and Jenny Visit Tombstone;' the first in a series of historical novels for young readers. She has worked with the Arizona Historical Society Museum since 1999, and is a member of the museum's Amazing Arizonans outreach program of speakers performing as historical characters. She debuted 'Anna Ferguson WWII Housewife & Defense Worker' in 2001. 'Anna' tells the story of the many sacrifices and contributions ordinary women made to the war effort. 'Elizabeth St. Claire The Old West Storyteller' debuted in 2004. 'Elizabeth' tells the stories of Tombstone, Arizona Territory, and the events surrounding the famous gunbattle near the O.K. Corral. 'Anna' and 'Elizabeth' have been performed at schools, universities, association meetings, conventions and museums. Through her reenactments, Gayle has inspired children and adults alike with her characters' ability to face challenges with dignity during uncertain times.
